Chamomile is mostly taken orally to help with insomnia, anxiety and digestive upsets. Chamomile has been used extensively to treat skin conditions, wound healing, fever, headaches, kidney, liver and bladder problems, muscle spasms, bruises, gout, ulcers, rheumatic pain, hay fever, inflammation, hemorrhoids, colic, and menstrual disorders.

 

TO TAKE : 

Chamomile Flowers are used to make tea, liquid extracts, capsules, creams and balms, and she can also be used as a mouth rinse!

To make tea, steep one teaspoon of chamomile flowers in two-thirds of a cup of boiling water for five to 10 minutes before straining.

As a mouth rinse, prepare as a tea and once cooled, gargle as often as desired.

 

P R E C A U T I O N S :

Chamomile contains coumarin, a naturally-occurring compound with anticoagulant or blood-thinning effects. It should not be combined with blood thinning medications, or be used by people with bleeding disorders.

Our Chamomile is wild harvested in Banks Peninsula, Christchurch.

 

D O S A G E :

3gm dried flower heads to 150 ml water.  Up to 4 cups daily.
